Welcome to Government Arts, Commerce and Science College, Khergam This college was established in the academic year 1992-93 by the Education Department, Government of Gujarat for students from tribal areas who cannot go to cities for higher education. The college started with undergraduate program Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce. So the college was known as Government Arts and Commerce College, Khergam. But from the academic year 2022-23, the curriculum of Bachelor of Science in science stream has also been started in this college. So now the name of this college has been changed to Government Arts, Commerce and Science College, Khergam. Initially, the college was started at Janata Madhyamik School in Khergam. In the year 2003, the college was shifted to its own newly constructed building at Sarsia Paliya, Chikhli Road, Khergam. The present building has a modern infrastructure with especially modern class-rooms with a seating capacity of over one thousand students. There are more than 21 rooms including multi media class rooms which are used by both faculty and students. The college is also equipped with sports facilities and a rich library. Laboratory, computer laboratory facility is also available for science stream students. Apart from this, the facility of fire safety system, CCTV surveillance is also available. The college has 24 faculties appointed by the Government of Gujarat as well as a full time librarian and a full time physical training instructor. More than 80% of the students in this college are from Scheduled Tribes and especially 70% of these students are women as they take the opportunity to get their graduate education from the door step college.
