Government Arts and Commerce College, Khergam has been established in the academic year 1992-93 by Education Department, Government of Gujarat for tribal area’s who could not afford to go to the cities for higher education. In the early, the college was started in Janta Madhyamik School, Khergam. there after the college was shifted to its own newly constructed building at Sarasiya Faliya, Chikhli Road, Khergam in the year 2003. The present building has modern infrastructure with specifically modern class-rooms with seating capacity of more than one thousand plus students. There are more than 21 rooms in including a multi media class room that is used both faculties and students. The college is also equipped with sports amenities and considerably rich library. The college has 17  faculties appointed through Government Of Gujarat, as well as full time librarian and full time Physical training instructor. More than 80% students are Schedule Tribe in this college and particularly from this 70% Students are female because they are take opportunity to get graduation education from door Step College.
